Class of 1978

College: Seminole JC

The program's most successful pitcher and first Traveler to establish a Major League career. Set the all-time Travelers strikeout record with 233 Ks in 1978 (2.01 K/IP). Pitched 10 seasons in MLB primarily with the Philadelphia Phillies, finishing 53–54 with 11 saves and a 4.11 ERA in 342 appearances. Won the Phillies Player of the Year award in 1985 and took a perfect game into the 9th inning against the Giants in 1986.

Class of 1985

College: Oklahoma State University

Arguably the most talented position player in Travelers history. Became the youngest Traveler to ever start a game at age 13. Holds all-time records for assists (178) and walks (98). In 1985 hit .484 with 21 HR, 121 RBI, and 108 hits, leading the team to an 86-12 record and the American Legion World Series. All-American at OSU and 1st Round Draft Pick by the Texas Rangers in 1988. Made his MLB debut in 1991 and was the opening day left-fielder for the Rangers in 1992 before being selected by the Florida Marlins in the expansion draft.

Class of 1978

College: Southwestern Oklahoma State University

The first Traveler to ever hit over .400, setting the standard with a .429 average in 1977 — a mark that stood until 1982. Holds the all-time record for doubles (38) and assists per game from shortstop (166 in 1977). In his debut season hit .429 with 123 hits, 106 runs, 93 RBI, and 38 doubles as the leadoff hitter in 87 games. Known as the best combination of speed, power, strength, and drive in Travelers history. His 1977 season is considered one of the greatest individual campaigns in program history.

Class of 1982

College: Seminole JC / OCU / University of Oklahoma

The undisputed stolen base king of Travelers history with 92 thefts in 85 games in 1981 — likely an unbreakable record. The only player to hit over .400 in three different seasons (1980–82). His 1982 campaign (.492 avg, 121 hits, 82 SB, 82 RBI, 12 HR, .700+ OBP) is arguably the greatest offensive season in program history. Ranks top five in five major statistical categories. Played professionally with the Phillies, Cardinals, and Indians organizations, then returned to coach the Double-A American Legion Travelers to back-to-back state titles (1993–94) and the program's only National Championship in 1996.

Class of 1971

College: None — signed professionally

Holds the all-time Travelers ERA record at a microscopic 0.73 in 1970 — a mark that has stood for more than 35 years. Set an amateur record in 1971 by winning 20 consecutive starts, going a combined 20-1 in his final two summers. His 20th straight win was the last game he ever pitched as an amateur; he signed with the Houston Astros the next day. Went on to play 10 years in professional baseball, reaching Triple-A with the Brewers organization. Considered by many the second-best left-handed pitcher in Travelers history, behind only Don Carman.

Class of 1972

College: Grayson JC / Kansas State

The most experienced pitcher in Travelers history, logging more innings than any other pitcher in program history. Holds the all-time record for innings pitched (139) in a single season (1971) — a mark that may never be broken. In his best summer won 14 games, struck out 214 batters (second all-time), and set the innings record. Over four seasons (1969–72) pitched more than 400 innings, won 40+ games, and struck out nearly 600 batters. A late-round draft pick of the Houston Astros out of high school, he anchored the pitching staff alongside fellow Hall of Famer Lee McLaurine and helped the program jump from 35 wins per season to 60 during his tenure.

Class of 1974

College: University of Oklahoma

Considered the greatest arm in Travelers history — and by scout Tony Rebello (who drafted Johnny Bench) one of the eight best arms in all of baseball, pro or amateur, in 1974. Won 14 games and struck out 187 batters (third all-time) in under 100 innings. Drafted by the Yankees out of high school, he chose to catch at OU instead. The Indians drafted him in his sophomore year; after a basketball injury forced him back to pitching, he eventually returned to catching and climbed all the way to Triple-A. A torn rotator cuff in his ninth pro season ended his career just shy of the Major Leagues.

Class of 1985

College: Seminole JC / Oklahoma State University

Arguably the most productive all-around player in Travelers history and the undisputed leader of the program's greatest team (1985: 86–12, state champions, American Legion World Series). Holds four all-time single-season records: pitching wins (18), hits (135), triples (15), and at-bats (322). Also third all-time in innings pitched (133) and runs scored (121). Delivered the program's most iconic moment — closing the 1985 National Regional championship game with three shutout innings, striking out the side in the ninth in front of 5,000 fans, and being carried off the field by Traveler supporters. Went on to reach Triple-A with the Texas Rangers as a pitcher.

Class of 1972

College: Lamar JC / Southeastern Oklahoma State

One of just five players in program history to be a full-time starter for four consecutive seasons (1969–72) — the other four are all Hall of Famers. Manned second base for 315 total games and cracked the 100-hit mark twice, amassing 214 hits in his final two seasons while hitting over .400 both years — and doing it in the wood bat era. Ranks fifth all-time in runs scored (107). His four teams went a combined 241–73 (.768) and won district championships each year. Earned All-American honors his senior season at Southeastern Oklahoma State. Described by coach Bob Ward as "steady as they come" — never a bad game in four seasons.

Class of 1985

College: Wichita State University

Arguably the most versatile player in Travelers history — started at every position in a single season. Holds all-time records for runs scored (144) and defensive putouts (610) in a season. Ranks second all-time in single-season hits (131, 1985) and tallied 242 hits in his final two seasons. One of three members of the legendary 1985 team (86–12) in the Hall of Fame, alongside Monty Fariss and Bryan Gore. Went on to be the starting left fielder and three-hole hitter on Wichita State's 1989 College World Series championship team, earned All-American honors, and was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 29th round.

Class of 1986

College: University of Oklahoma

Holds the all-time Travelers records for RBI in a season (127) and shares the homerun record (25) — both set as a 16-year-old in 1985. Coach Bob Ward calls him the strongest 16-year-old he has ever seen, "and there isn't even a close second." The RBI record has stood for over 20 years without a serious threat. Also ranks in the top 10 in doubles (28) and was hit by pitch 16 times (third all-time). Delivered one of the program's most memorable World Series moments with a towering 3-run homer in the opening game of the 1985 American Legion World Series. A three-year letterman at catcher for the University of Oklahoma.

Class of 1987

College: Seminole JC / El Reno JC / OCU / OSU / University of Oklahoma

One of only two pitchers in Travelers history to win more than 40 games in a career, going 43–3 over three seasons — second all-time behind fellow Hall of Famer Bryan Gore. His 16 wins in 1987 rank third on the single-season list, and he also ranks sixth (14 wins) and seventh (13 wins). Won his first 20 starts in a Traveler uniform as a 16-year-old on the legendary 1985 team (86–12). Delivered one of the program's signature moments, starting the Mid-South National Regional championship game in front of 5,000 fans at Fuller Ballpark — six strong innings that sent the Travelers to their first American Legion World Series. Later returned to give back as the team's pitching coach in 1989 and 1990.

Class of 1993

College: University of Oklahoma

The all-time Travelers career home run leader with 58 bombs — most crushed out of sight like drives off a golf tee. Holds the single-season homerun record (tied). Accumulated 292 assists over his final two seasons at shortstop and was MVP of nearly every tournament he entered, including the Pueblo Tony Andenucio Tournament and the World Games in Gonzales, Louisiana. Considered by many the greatest overall Traveler to wear the uniform. Drafted out of high school by the Baltimore Orioles, he chose instead to play basketball at OU, where he became a Big 8 Player of the Year (23.6 ppg, 8.4 rpg). He returned for his senior baseball season and was later drafted by the Orioles, reaching the Major Leagues.

Class of 1992

College: Unknown

One of the top Travelers players of all-time and, alongside brother Ryan, one of the most prolific home run hitters in program history. Hit an amazing 25 home runs in 209 at-bats in 1993 — a pace of 1 HR per 8.3 at-bats, unmatched in program history. At the 1993 Hays Kansas 4th of July tournament, crushed 4 home runs on 4 consecutive plate appearances, all monster shots. Ranks second all-time in career home runs (50). Also hit .431 (1992), .407 (1991), and .425 (1990). A 6'7" first baseman with tremendous range, he also served as the left-handed ace on the mound. Proved the doubters wrong by reaching the Major Leagues with the San Francisco Giants, where he was hitting in the 5-hole behind MLB Hall of Famer Barry Bonds.

Class of 1994

College: University of Oklahoma / Ole Miss

Unquestionably the most feared pitcher in Travelers history. A steady left-hander with a 95-mph fastball and just enough wildness to keep hitters from digging in. Averaged more than 15 strikeouts per 7 innings pitched — considered unhittable. In a legendary 1993 game at the Tony Andenucio Tournament, struck out 17 batters and recorded 2 outs on a comebacker and a pop fly in a single performance that drew scouts from across the country. In July 1994, 19 MLB scouts showed up to watch him strike out 18 batters in a single game. Holds the all-time highest RBI total per at-bat in Travelers history, with 113 total RBIs in 1994 (third all-time). Nicknamed "Rocket on the Rise" by scouts. Drafted 8th round by the Atlanta Braves in 1995; later signed with the Chicago Cubs out of Ole Miss.

Class of 2005

College: Oklahoma State University

One of the most decorated Travelers alumni of the modern era. Won MVP honors and captured the Elite World Series championship with the Travelers in 2005. A Class B state baseball champion at Taloga High School in 2004, he batted .500 with 4 home runs and 38 RBIs in his senior spring season before starring at Oklahoma State University. Went on to a 10-year Major League career as an infielder, spending the bulk of his time with the Pittsburgh Pirates before stints with the Detroit Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals. A true product of small-town Oklahoma baseball who proved that Travelers alumni belong at the highest level of the game.

Class of 2005

College: Unknown

A two-year Travelers standout who accumulated 448 at-bats in 2003 and 440 in 2005, helping the program to a NABF World Series third-place finish and a USSSA World Series fourth-place finish. Selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 25th round of the 2008 amateur draft, Ridling made his pro debut with the Boise Hawks before breaking out with the Peoria Chiefs in 2009 — batting .310 with 16 home runs and 97 RBIs, leading the entire Midwest League with 166 hits, and earning league All-Star honors. A power-hitting first baseman who carried the Travelers lineup and went on to prove himself at the professional level.

Class of 2007

College: Oklahoma State University / Barry University

Earned 2007 Team MVP honors with the Oklahoma Travelers, capping a standout run with the program before going on to star at Oklahoma State University and Barry University. Selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 11th round of the 2011 MLB Draft, Green spent six years in the Tigers organization and climbed all the way to Triple-A Toledo — one of the longest professional careers of any Travelers alumnus. A power-hitting first baseman whose Travelers MVP season foreshadowed the professional career that followed.

Class of 2008

College: South Mountain Community College

A Perfect Game-rated standout for the Oklahoma Travelers in the Class of 2008, Henry was a versatile middle infielder out of Arnett, Oklahoma who earned top marks as a shortstop and second baseman. Selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 4th round of the 2009 MLB Draft, he developed into a cutter specialist with outstanding command and was ticketed for Triple-A as a potential middle relief contributor at the Major League level. One of the highest-drafted Travelers alumni of the modern era and a testament to the program's ability to develop professional-caliber talent from small-town Oklahoma.

Class of 2010

College: Wichita State University

Played for the Oklahoma Travelers in 2009, batting .480 with 11 home runs — one of the most productive summers in program history for a prep infielder. At Roff High School, he was a four-year standout on eight straight state tournament teams in baseball and three straight in basketball. As a senior, his baseball team went 38-1 and he hit a team-best .561 with 21 home runs; as a junior he hit .505 with 13 home runs and 54 RBI. He also participated in the prestigious Area Code Games. At Wichita State, he started at shortstop, second base, and third base across three seasons, earning honorable mention All-Valley honors as a sophomore in 2012 after batting .281 with 28 RBI and being named MVC Player-of-the-Week. Named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll multiple times. A versatile, multi-sport athlete who was also the leading scorer on Roff's first state basketball championship team since 1968.

Class of 2010

College: University of Oklahoma

Played for the Oklahoma Travelers under head coach Mark Ward during the summer of 2009 — the same year he went 10-1 with a 0.45 ERA and 124 strikeouts for Weatherford High School. A two-time all-state honoree by The Oklahoman (2009 and 2010), he led the entire state in strikeouts both years and finished his prep career with 540 strikeouts and 37 home runs, also batting .485 with 17 home runs and 64 RBIs as a senior. At the University of Oklahoma, he was a 2011 Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American, set a Big 12 Championship record with 15 strikeouts in two appearances, and earned the Big 12 Pitcher of the Year award in 2013 — finishing his OU career 23-10 with a 2.89 ERA and 264 strikeouts in 289.1 innings. Drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 2nd round (63rd overall pick) of the 2013 MLB Draft.

Class of 2012

College: Wichita State University

Set the all-time Oklahoma Travelers single-season batting average record with a .558 average in 2011 — a mark that still stands as the program's best. At Anadarko High School, he was a four-year letterman in baseball and football, earning all-state honors and the Western Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association Player of the Year in 2012. As a junior he hit .489 with 66 runs, 28 RBI, and 25 stolen bases; as a senior he hit .435 with 46 runs, 29 RBI, and 35 stolen bases. A member of the Principal's Honor Roll and the National Honor Society, he was also part of a state championship football team his senior year. At Wichita State, he played in 51 games as a freshman (2013), earning a spot on the MVC All-Tournament Team and posting a nine-game hitting streak in May. As a sophomore (2014), he played in 53 games, hit .232 with 36 runs, 20 stolen bases, and was named honorable mention All-Valley Scholar-Athlete. A multi-sport, multi-dimensional athlete who exemplified the Travelers standard of excellence both on and off the field.

Class of 2017

College: Oklahoma State University / Cowley County CC

A Binger, Oklahoma native who grew up to become one of the most decorated junior college players in the country. After beginning his collegiate career at Oklahoma State, he transferred to Cowley County Community College in Kansas where he put together a historic season — batting .453 with a school-record 9 triples and 30 stolen bases in 30 attempts, earning a spot on the JUCO Division I All-World Series team. His combination of speed, contact hitting, and baserunning instincts made him a standout at every level. Selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 9th round (277th overall) of the 2019 MLB Draft, he went on to pursue his professional career in the Braves organization. A product of the Travelers program who exemplified the relentless, all-out style of play the organization has always demanded.

Class of 2018

College: Cowley County Community College

One of the most decorated prep players to come through the Travelers program, Colton Hunter won four state championships during his high school career at Leedey High School — a testament to his winning pedigree and competitive fire. His defining moment came in the spring state championship game, where he took the mound and threw 119 pitches, striking out 13 batters in a gritty 2-1 victory over Drummond. Named to the All-State Small West baseball team as an infielder by the Oklahoma Coaches Association in 2018, he was recognized as one of the premier players in his class across the state. After starring for the Travelers, he went on to play college baseball at Cowley County Community College in Kansas, continuing a tradition of Travelers alumni excelling at the next level. A fierce competitor and natural winner who embodied everything the Travelers program stands for.

Class of 2018

College: Oklahoma City University / Southwestern Oklahoma State University

A four-year starter for the Oklahoma Travelers and one of the program's most versatile weapons — a top offensive contributor and ace on the mound. At Leedey High School, he was part of four state championship teams, cementing his legacy as one of the most decorated prep players in western Oklahoma. He began his college career at Oklahoma City University (NAIA), where he went 4-0 with a 5.40 ERA across 19 appearances and 40.0 innings, striking out 44 batters. He then transferred to Southwestern Oklahoma State University (NCAA/GAC), where he pitched three seasons and accumulated 56.0 innings with 67 strikeouts. Across all four college seasons he compiled a 7-5 record, 111 strikeouts, and 96.0 innings pitched — a career that reflected the durability and competitiveness he first showed wearing a Travelers uniform.

Class of 2020

College: Redlands Community College / Oral Roberts University

One of the most complete athletes to come through the Travelers program, Parker Ward won two state championships at Leedey High School, was a runner-up twice more, and was named OCA All-State Center Fielder in 2020. At Redlands Community College he was a two-year starter who played eight of nine positions, hit .380 as a freshman with 5 triples, and led the team with 8 home runs in the fall of his sophomore year. In the summer of 2022 he dominated the D-Bat Collegiate League — batting .458, winning College League Hitter of the Year, posting a 17-game hitting streak, and closing the season at .529 to earn Stan Musial Hitter of the Tournament. He transferred to Oral Roberts University, where he helped the Golden Eagles reach the 2023 College World Series.
